Alice Marie Bayne

Alice Marie Bayne passed away June 25, 2018.

Alice Marie Crossan was born March 9, 1921, at Burns, Wyoming, and grew up on a horse ranch with three brothers, Gilbert, Robert and Tom. Her parents, Bert and Sylvia Crossan, and all three brothers, preceded her in death.

She attended rural schools and the University of Wyoming, and was a teacher for seven years in Cheyenne, Wyoming. In 1953, she took an editorial position at Herald Publishing House in Independence, Mo., where she was editor of children’s material.

She also attended the University of Missouri, and received her degree in 1970....
