Pine Bluffs-Burns runners compete in Wheatland

The Pine Bluffs-Burns cross country team traveled to Wheatland last week.
And they brought their A-game.
“This was by far the best meet we ran all year,” said coach Ashley Rousseau. “These kids came out to compete today.”
Piper Perez continued a strong season, leading her team with a 3rd place finish at 20:29.
She was followed by teammate Emma Gonzalez, who took 6th place with a time of 21:06.
Shelby Thurin, who Rousseau said thrives in cold weather, finished with a time of 21:50.
Hallie Christofferson was one second away from a personal best time when she came in at 22:04.
Grace Steenbergen rounded out PBHS/BHS with a time of 22:36.
“We cut times and many girls were dang close to PRs today,” said Roussea.
The boys team took third place behind Cheyenne South and Cheyenne East.
Leading them was Colby Stockton with a time of 19:14.
Stockton was followed by David Gordon (19:28),
