Pine Bluffs-Burns runners compete in Douglas, head to state meet this weekend

The Pine Bluffs-Burns cross country team got its first taste of postseason action as a 3A school in Douglas last week.

Girls runners collectively finished in 3rd place for the team with boys earning 6th.

Piper Perez earned All Regional Athlete for her 4th place finish in 20:53.

Emma Gonzalez followed with a time of 22:31, which earned her 14th place.

She was clossley followed by Erin Griess followed in 16th with a time of 22:58.

Shelby Thurin (23:03) and Hallie Christofferson rounded up the scoring girls.

Three boys turned in sub-20 times.
