Burns-Pine Bluffs grapplers sixth at Bison Bonanza

Burns-Pine Bluffs wrestlers continued their 2018 - 2019 season on the mat when they traveled to South High School in Cheyenne for the Bison Bonanza.

The team finished sixth out of eight teams at the event.

Kyle Thurin and Lash Branigan posted 5-0 records.

Colter Haws went 2-3 in the 220 weight class.

In the 285 class, Conner Polk went 2-1. His only loss came at the hands of Cheyen East's Zach Higgins by a fall.

DJ Rupp was 1-1 in the 285 class with a loss to Torrington's Brandon Bennick by fall. His win came from a forfeit.

Logan Braningan posted a 2-3 record in the 132 class.

Branigan started out the tournament with two losses, but rallied to defeat Cheyenne East's Cade Pugh and then Wheatland's Dustin Karr.

He ended the tournament with a loss to Cheyenne East's Shawn Smith.

Colby Stockton was 2-3 in the 138 class.
