Pine Bluffs improves to 14-1

BURNS - Michael Shain and Justus Golding each scored in the double digits on the way to Pine Bluffs' dominant win over the Burns Broncs Friday night.

Golding contributed 17 points while Shain added 15.

The final score was 65-28 Pine Bluffs.

Friday night's matchup was already decided by the end of the first quarter with Pine Bluffs leading 17-2.

A strong second quarter would make the score 38-7 heading into the second half.

Pine Bluffs combined for 17 steals during the game, with Andrew Fornstrom and Golding each contributing 4.

Fornstrom also added on 5 rebounds along with teammate, Shain.

With Friday night under their belt, the Hornets move up to 14-1 on the season and 3-0 in conference play. (Note: The Hornets were in Kimball for an away matchup Tuesday night before deadline.)

All four of their remaining games are against conference rivals.

On Friday, Pine Bluffs will travel to Yoder to take on Southeast.

So far Southeast is 6-10. When Pine Bluffs last played Southeast on Jan. 18, they came away with a 67-57 win.

The Hornets' next home game is set for Feb. 8 at 8 p.m. against Glenrock.

Glenrock gave the Hornets a narrow win on Jan. 19. in a matchup that resulted in a 60-56 Pine Bluffs win.
