Hyleigh Fornstrom attempts a shot in the Lady Hornets win over Burns Friday night. The Lady Hornets traveled to Burns Friday, Feb. 1 and defeated rival Burns 59 to 37. With only four games to play, the Lady Hornets will make their final run of the season beginning Friday night in Yoder when they take on Southeast. All four of their remaining games are conference matchups.

BURNS - Torri Long and Dylan Sweeter combined for 26 of Pine Bluffs' 59 points in their win over Burns Friday night in a game dominated by the Lady Hornets for all four quarters of play.

Long had 14 points while Sweeter had 12. Of long's points, 8 of those came from free throws.

Sophie Howard had double digits in the rebound column with 10.

Pine Bluffs completely shut out the Lady Broncs in the first quarter of play and held them to only 7 points in the second quarter.

That's a mere 7 points allowed in the first half of play.

And, while the Lady Hornets' defense was shutting out the Lady Broncs, they were equally dominant on the defensive side of the ball.

Friday night's win in Burns puts the Lady Hornets up to a 13-2 record so far this year with only four regular season games remaining.

(Note: A game was in progress against Kimball before deadline.)

Their next matchup will come on Friday when they travel to Yoder to take on Southeast, who boasts an 11-5 overall record and a 2-1 conference record.

Pine Bluffs is currently 3-0 in conference play.

On Saturday, Pine Bluffs will host Glenrock at 4 p.m.

Glenrock has had a ghastly year so far having lost all 15 of its games.
