After 21 years Mary Cushing continues turning pages at the library she loves

Soft spoken with an easy smile, Mary Cushing is the go to person at our local library. As a child she loved books, and would often play librarian with the collection she had at home. "I would make a pocket for the back, and rig up the special pencil with the date stamp on the top." Said Mary. As a grown up Mary found herself straying away from the library sciences and gravitating towards a nursing degree. She attended Nebraska Western College in Scottsbluff, NE, and was all set to attend nursing school in Omaha when the call of marriage and children led her down another path. Marrying...
