Burns FFA Wins Casper College Livestock Judging Contest

Members of the Burns FFA Chapter won the livestock judging contest put on by the Casper College livestock judging team and their coaches on March 30th.  Members of the team, from left to right, included Tyler Humphrey (junior), Emma Gonzalez (freshman), Grace Steenbergen (freshman), and Kaycee Thomas (sophomore). Twenty four teams from Wyoming and one team each from Montana and Idaho were present. As a team, Burns placed first in beef, second in reasons, and 4th in sheep and swine.  Top ten individual ranks included: Tyler H. - 3rd Overall, Beef - 3rd, Swine - 6th, Reason - 7th; Emma G. - 9th Overall, Sheep - 7th, Reasons - 8th; Kaycee T. - 10th Overall, Sheep 6th, Swine - 7th; Grace S. - Beef 6th per Craig Spatz.
