Laramie County Library to host Local Author Day in partnership with Cheyenne Arts Celebration

September 5, 2019

CHEYENNE: On Saturday, September 14 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Laramie County Library will host the third-annual Local Author Day in the gallery of the library. Authors local to the region will be at the library throughout the day to promote their published works. Community members are invited to come meet the attending authors and purchase their novels, books, and collections.

Twenty-five local authors, whose works range from children’s stories to science fiction to romance, have signed up for the event. The diverse array of participants ensures that readers of all ages will find a book or novel suited to their taste, and authors will be happy to discuss their work with those who are interested. All ages are welcome to attend, and the event is free and open to the public.

For this year's Local Author Day, Laramie County Library System is partnering with Arts Cheyenne for their Cheyenne Arts Celebration, an initiative that recognizes and elevates community arts activities through logistics and marketing. In addition to the library’s Local Author Day, the celebration will include a special and expanded Cheyenne Artwalk on Thursday, September 12 and a public arts-oriented reception on Friday, September 13.

Laramie County Library System is thrilled to celebrate local talent by participating in the Cheyenne Arts Celebration and by showcasing the authors who add to the creative fabric of Laramie County.
