Burns High School FFA hosts 5K Run/Walk October 12 Funds to support assistant coach

After learning Burns High School assistant football Colby Ward was diagnosed with cancer, Burns High School faculty and students banded together to raise money to assist Ward and his family with medical bills.

This summer, Ward was on a fly-fishing trip when he became ill. Doctors discovered a cancerous mass in his brain. Ward had surgery and is now undergoing chemotherapy.

Each year, the Burns High School FFA chapter holds a 5k Run/Walk. This year, funds from the 3rd annual FFA 5K Run/Walk will go to help Coach Ward and his family.
