Once the votes are counted and the winners are announced participants of the 2019 Christmas Dessert Bake-Off are gathered for a photo with their awards made by the student-run business, Hornet Inc. Janna Kestner was the Cake Winner with a Kentucky Butter Cake. Gretchen Norman was the Overall Champion with her Brazilian Coconut Cake. Taylen Fornstrom was the Pie Champion with an Apple Berry Pie. Kami Tangeman was the Cookie winner with her large loaded cookies.

On December 19, 2019, the Pine Bluffs High School hosted the first Christmas Dessert Bake-off! Participants baked goods in four different categories, cakes, pies, cookies, and healthy entries. Judging was completed by the public, friends and family members gathered in the commons for these tasty treats and coffee. Our participants this year included Alexis DePaulitte, Kami Tangeman, Janna Kestner, Mary Jacobsen, Taylen Fornstrom, Ms.Kathleen, and Gretchen Norman. All of these lovely ladies entered at least one delicious dessert and a recipe along with a baker's description--some even include love.

The fundraiser was successful and we look forward to our next fundraisers including a Shoe Drive through Funds2orgs.com
