Pine Bluffs/Burns cross country hosts first home race

Pine Bluffs/Burns Cross Country hosted its inaugural meet in Burns on Friday, Sept. 4 after almost 16 years.

The varsity girls race consisted of 21 runners with Pine Bluffs/Burns running a full team. Emma Gonzalez finished in first place, Layne Burnett second, Jordan Griess sixth, Shelby Thurin 12th, and Mianna Siebert 13th.

"I am excited to see our ladies run as a team and work together," said Ashley Rousseau, Pine Bluffs Coach.

Gonzalez and Burnett cut roughly two minutes from last week's times. Griess, Thurin, and Siebert all cut at least a minute from last week's times.
