Hello from the Wyoming Weed and Pest Council

The rich varieties of habitats found throughout Wyoming are treasured by residents and visitors alike. Recreation, tourism, fishing, hunting, mining and agriculture are all integral to our livelihood. Unfortunately, invasive species are a major threat to Wyoming’s native wildlife and ecosystems, with nearly 50 percent of endangered or threatened species at risk as the result of the spread.

Thankfully, Wyoming Weed and Pest Council (WWPC) is the state’s best defense against the spread of invasive weeds and pests.

Who We Are: Since 1973, the WWPC has been working to eradicate invasive species and works closely with the Wyoming Department of Agriculture and the University of Wyoming to keep current with the latest research and technology.

How Can We Help You: Whether it’s research, educational materials, how-to articles or access to knowledgeable spokespeople, WWPC can be a resource for your editorial or content needs.

Feel free to contact me if you’re interested in learning more about WWPC and how we can support your editorial efforts throughout the year.
