Independence Day - July 4

For 244 years we, as a nation, have celebrated our independence from the British. Across the country there is fireworks, parades and celebrations.

As history tells us of the resolution by Richard Henry Lee of Virginia..."Resolved: That these United Colonies are, and of right ought to be, free and independent States, that they are absolved from all allegiance to the British Crown, and that all political connection between them and the State of Great Britain is and ought to be, totally dissolved."1

As a military veteran, and a dependent of a military veteran, I have lived in other countries....
