Grace Steenbergen represented the American Legion Auxiliary at Girls Nation in Washington D.C. on July 24th through 31st.

Steenbergen started this endeavor by receiving an application from her school council for Girls State. She was then interviewed and wrote an essay stating why the American Legion Auxiliary should pick her. Once submitted as a represented delegate for the Auxiliary, Steenbergen then went to Cheyenne along with girls from all over the state.

At Cheyenne the girls are divided into cities. The girls create their own bills just like a mini congress. In each city they vote...
