Remembering Dec. 7, 1941

It was December 7, 1941, and many members of the military were still sleeping in their bunks this Sunday morning, along with residents of the Pearl Harbor, Oahu area.

At 07:55 the first attack hit. From that moment on, there were bombs, machine gun fire, explosions and more. A quote from the Honolulu Star Bulletin states, "A Day that will live in Infamy."

From this first initial attack, the waves of war hit home, and the United States was now at war with her attacker of the Pacific... Japan.

Within a few short days, many lives were changed dramatically on the islands and in the continental...
