For many years there has been a fund raising program in Laramie County that has become an annual event. The Laramie County Community Christmas program, which raises funds for grocery cards given out to many rural individuals and those in the larger cities. Originally, it was set up as a food basket program in 1946. From there it grew into the Community Christmas program sometime in the 1960s.
