Burns Science students compete in Science Olympiad

Burns High School and Burns Junior High competed in the State Science Olympiad on Saturday, April 9 at Casper College. Science Olympiad is a bit like a track meet of science events. Students can pick between one and five events. Some events involve building a project, such as a bridge, a mousetrap car, a catapult, or a rocket with a parachute. Other events include designing an experiment, building models, or knowledge on tests.

The competition really gets kids engaged in STEM concepts and is great for helping develop problem solving skills. Casper College offers scholarships to any Juniors...
