The smell of soups and grilled cheese sandwiches filled the air in Donald Eisenhauer American Legion Post home on Sunday. This was a gathering of members and locals that came together in honor of the Four Chaplains of World War II.
Members of the Legion and Auxiliary Unit 60 made soups - Ham and beans, Tomato Bisque, Southwestern Sausage and Rice, and Potato Soup were served as well as grilled cheese sandwiches, meat and cheese sandwiches, and pinwheels. Also on hand were an array of delicious homemade desserts.
The movie was a documentary about the Four Chaplains.
