Girl Scouts raise money through Cookie Sales

This is the time of year where people are looking for Girl Scout cookies. For years the Girls Scouts had been around the Pine Bluffs area. But with loss of interest the Girls Scouts kind of disappeared. But now with two leaders the Girl Scouts are back. Jessica Murkin and Mikaela Sheets felt their girls needed a Girl Scout Troop in the area.

The Girl Scouts was started in 1912 in Savannah, Georgia. This was to bring girls out of their homes to serve the community and experience the out of doors. Now the headquarters is in New Year City. The girls do all kinds of community service and learn...
