The Civil Air Patrol (CAP) is alive and well in Cheyenne according to Mr. Sheperd. Mr. Sheperd is the Commander of Cadets for the Cheyenne CAP Squadron. The unit has been going on for at least the last 10 years he said. The organization meets every Monday at the ANG Base just off Yellowstone Rd in Cheyenne. The CAP offers a cadet program to youth aged 12-21. Cadets take part in a 16-step program, which covers aerospace education, leadership training, physical fitness and moral leadership.
