This is part of a letter was written to her parents by one of the five girls, there were nine boys, on May 27, 1957, while on their 2 week senior trip on a school bus after graduation from Grover High School. It is interesting to see the prices they paid for a motel.

“We are now in Cortez Colorado. Today the boys went swimming in mineral water that smelled like sulfur. Coach said after dinner that he still tasted rotten eggs from the smell. No girls went swimming. We have really been lucky with the cost of cabins. In Colorado Springs it cost us $1.50 apiece for each night amounting to $18...
