    The Pine Bluffs Hornets football team faced off against the Niobrara County (Lusk) Tigers last Friday night. The team has a five-game winning streak going and since this was homecoming week, they did not want to disappoint their friends and family and especially their teammates.     The Niobrara County/Lusk Lady Tigers visited the Lady Hornets last Friday in a non-conference match-up. The Lady Hornets have won their last three games and since this was homecoming week were not about to let up now.   • Roping Club Closes out Season

    The Pine Bluffs Roping Club closed out its 2024 team roping competition last Friday evening. It was a beautiful evening with temperatures in the high sixties and no clouds, a very light breeze and conditions that were almost perfect. The club had one of the largest pools of ropers this season with over 30 headers and heelers combined looking for that one final win of the season.     As the Lady Broncs start the 2024-25 volleyball season they will have a new lineup. Head Coach Anndee McKinney will have to put together a new starting lineup for the Lady Broncs. Losing most of her varsity team from last year she will have to move up several of the younger players to fill the slots.     The Burns/Pine Bluffs cross country track team has been hitting the streets and hills getting ready for the 2024-25 season.     The Burns Broncs football team will start to rebuild their team from the ground up. They have a new head coach Travis Romsa. Coach Romsa was the teams head coach a few years ago and was asked to come back and help rebuild the team.
