Lady Hornets take down Glenrock


The Pine Bluffs Lady Hornets played just one game last week but it was another big step toward defending their 2A state crown.

The team traveled to Glenrock last Saturday and came away with a 50-36 win to improve to 11-0.

Pine Bluffs got out to a 19-13 lead in the first quarter and took a 29-20 lead into halftime.

Both teams scored 12 in the third and the Lady Hornets pulled away for good in the final quarter to get the win.

Jadyn Golding and Kammie Ragsdale each scored 14 points to lead the Lady Hornets in scoring. Sierra Shelit had 8, Melissa Fornstrom and Montanna Chrystal each had 5, while Kenzie Graves and Ashlyn Culp had 2 each.

Ragsdale led Pine Bluffs with seven rebounds, followed by Chrystal and Fornstrom with five each, Shelit, Culp and Paige Thompson had three each.

Golding had four assists, Shelit had two and Ragsdale and Graves had one each.

The Lady Hornets will host the Lady Broncs from Burns this Friday.
