Community Calendar

 


Items for possible inclusion in the weekly community calendar should be typewritten or legibly printed. All submissions should include the name and daytime telephone number of the person submitting the information in case questions arise.

Items which may be included in the calendar are church events, club meetings, and school events.

If your club will not be meeting or has a change, please contact us so we can update the calendar with the correct information as soon as possible.

Items should be received on Monday at 5 p.m., one week prior to the date they will appear in the calendar.

They may be faxed to 307-245-3325, e-mailed to [email protected], mailed to Pine Bluffs Post, P.O. Box 68, Pine Bluffs, WY 82082, or dropped off at the Post’s office located at 201 E. 2nd St.

Every Weekday Morning

Every morning from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. you can get together with your friends for coffee and conversation at the Pine Bluffs Senior Center.

Every Tuesday

Every Tuesday at 1 p.m. Bingo is held at the Pine Bluffs Senior Center.

Every Wednesday

Pick up pickleball will be held Wednesdays at the Community Center from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Pickleball is a game played indoors on a small court with a paddle and whiffle ball. Free of charge, everyone is welcome.

Every Monday, Wednesday & Friday

Senior Shape Up at the Pine Bluffs Fitness Center from 8:15 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. This is a free exercise program designed to promote flexibility, muscle strength, coordination and general overall fitness.

Thursdays

The Pine Bluffs Senior Center will start Nintendo Wii Bowling Leagues starting February 11! These are 17-week leagues: Jan-April; May-Aug; Sept-Dec.

Times are 9-11 a.m. Please come in before the February 11 to create your Wii profile.

Fridays

Friday Movies at the Library

1:30-3:30 p.m.

Come to the library on Friday afternoons this school year to watch a variety of family-friendly films. Each week we’ll show a different movie. Bring your favorite snack to enjoy. (Children & Families; Pine Bluffs Branch Library)

March 3

The Cheyenne/Laramie County Emergency Management Agency will be testing the Outdoor Warning Siren system at 10 a.m. Friday, March 3 for Pine Bluffs and 12 noon for Cheyenne and surrounding towns.

Dinner and a Movie: Sully

Tuesday, March 7

7:00 – 9:00 p.m.

On January 15, 2009, the world witnessed the “Miracle on the Hudson” when Captain Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger glided his disabled plane onto the frigid waters of the Hudson River, saving the lives of all 155 aboard. However, even as Sully was being heralded by the public and the media for his unprecedented feat of aviation skill, an investigation was unfolding that threatened to destroy his reputation and career. Bring a potluck dish to share. (Adults; Pine Bluffs Branch)
