Pawnee graduates eight in 100th commencement

The Pawnee High School Class of 2017 shares a light-hearted moment just minutes before heading into the school's gymnasium to receive their diplomas. This year marks the 100th commencement exercise for Grover/Pawnee. Reaching the century mark in anything is quite an achievement and this year's graduating class at Pawnee High School in Grover, Colo. is no exception, as noted on the sashes of their gowns emblazoned "100th Class".

Friends, family members, faculty, staff and well-wishers in general gathered in the gym at Pawnee High School last Sunday to watch the 100th Class head out into the world.

Junior attendants Grace Robinson and Josh Duggan started the ceremony off as the crowd rose to their feet to "Pomp and Circumstance" performed by Edward Elgar.
