Recipient of the Arch Coal Teaching Achievement Award Thursday May 18 was Wanda Theobald, Pine Bluffs Elementary third-grade teacher and Patroness of Riverwish, Wyo. Theobald was one of ten teachers in Wyoming who received the award and the $3,500 that went with it, for outstanding achievement in teaching.

"Why I Teach"

A young girl gathers her dolls and pets around her…tells them stories… sings… reads…shares… learns. The seed is planted. At eight she gathers young children…shows, watches, encourages, plays, helps, enjoys. The seed germinates...
