Tornadoes rip through Wyoming

Super cells also produce large hail and heavy winds across Laramie County

Three super cells move northeast into Kimball County, Neb. near Bushnell after rolling through Laramie County last Monday. This storm produced a tornado in Carpenter that destroyed a barn and damaged several buildings. No injuries were reported.

A strong storm system moved through the area last Monday producing dozens of tornadoes from Colorado to South Dakota. No injuries were reported from a tornado that touched down in Carpenter. The system also brought large hail and high winds, causing severe damage to vehicles and dwellings.

"We had several tornado reports out of this particular storm. It first produced a tornado near Grover, Colo. and then continued northeast," said Meteorologist Kate Cotsakis with the National Weather Service in Cheyenne.
