Pine Bluffs, WY (January 31, 2018) – Pine Bluffs Distilling is releasing its first spirit, a vodka praised for its versatility and clean taste.

The release of "Rock Ranch Vodka," made entirely with local grains, caps months of growing, harvesting and hard work by Pine Bluffs Distilling, owned and operated by Chad and Kathy Brown and Gene Purdy.

Mixologists describe Rock Ranch as the "Swiss Army Knife" of vodkas because it works just as well in a Bloody Mary or Moscow Mule as it does in a basic dry martini, making it the only vodka a person will ever need.

"We've worked hard to produce our first release of Rock Ranch Vodka and look forward to celebrating its release with tasting room visitors and those who love all things made in Wyoming," said Brown.

Some of the grain used in Rock Ranch is provided by Purdy, who raises barley and wheat. Purdy pointed out that the distillery has provided a new market for area grain producers.

"Malting is a value-added process for agricultural products such as barley, millet and wheat, which are grown locally," he said.

Purdy said fresh local grains create exceptional spirits and noted all of PBD's grains come from fields less than 25 miles from the distillery.

The distillery's tasting room is located just 30 miles east of Cheyenne at 322 N. Beech in Pine Bluffs and is open Monday through Friday from noon to 5 p.m. and on Saturday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Visitors can tour the facility, taste and purchase Rock Ranch Vodka and purchase premium gifts.
