Lawrence C. Anderson, 88, of Burns, Wyoming went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Sunday, February 25, 2018.

Lawrence was born on July 2, 1929 on the homestead in Easter Laramie County, Wyoming. He graduated from Albin High School and attended college at the University of Wyoming and John Brown University, there he met his wife to be, Joanne Thompson.

For 65 plus years, Lawrence devoted his life to his family, his farm in the North Burns area, and serving his community. He served in multiple roles including lobbyist for the Wyoming School Board Association, board member for Community Action and Laramie County School District #2, and Burns Co-op board member, and received the lifetime achievement award for his work with the State Republican party. He served his church as a deacon and trustee..

Lawrence is preceded in death by his wife, Joanne Anderson and survived by his children, Mark Anderson and wife Judy, Craig Anderson and wife Gail, and Sharon Anderson; his grandchildren, Jolie Sawyer, Kelly Janes and husband David, Brett Anderson and wife Lori, Ryan Anderson and wife Alli, Jeremy Anderson and wife Rachel, Robert Anderson and Taya Anderson; and nine great-grandchildren, Kevin, Danielle, and Joseph Sawyer; Hannah, Abby and Olivia Janes; Peyton and Braden Anderson; and Beckham Anderson. Lawrence was also preceded in death by his parents Gust and Anna Anderson, brother Warren Anderson, sister Helen Peters and survived by brother Leonard Anderson and sister Elaine Kopecky.

Lawrence will be remembered for his love for people, education, farming, and his Love for Jesus Christ.

A memorial service will be celebrated on Friday, March 2, 2018 , 2:30 at Cheyenne Hills Church. A graveside service will proceed the memorial service at Memorial Gardens east of Cheyenne beginning at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Samaritan's Purse a Franklin Graham ministry, P.O Box 3000, Boone, NC, 28607.
