Edith Margaret Uri, 101, of Denton, Texas went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 23, 2018. She was born on December 11, 1916 in Kimball, NE to Charles Forgus and Charlotte (Driggs) Paullin.

Edith is survived by daughters Linda Kinnison, and husband Lloyd, Laura Story, and husband Darrel, sons Lawrence Uri, Jr., and wife Theresa and Laverne Uri, and wife Tamie, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence Uri, parents Charles and Charlotte Paullin, one sister and two brothers.

Edith was a long-time resident of Pine Bluffs. She and her husband Lawrence owned and operated the Pine Bluffs Grocery and Lockers. After retirement they moved to Concordia, Kansas to be close to family. Edith was active in the Women of the Moose, and the VFW Auxiliary.

A funeral mass and internment will be in Concordia, Kansas on Monday, March 5, 2018. A rosary will be at 10AM with mass to follow. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the building fund at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Concordia.
