Burns earns sixth, fifth place finishes in Morrill

MORRILL, Neb. - Burns track and field athletes got off to a solid start in Morrill, Neb. Saturday with several team members putting up solid performances.
The Bayard girls earned fifth place out of nine teams and the boys earned sixth out of 10.
Miranda Mosley was the sole performer to earn a first-place finish. She won the pole vault even with a height of 9 feet even.
Piper Perez came close to earning wins in the 400-and 800-meter runs.
However, in both events, she was beaten out by a faster Jori Peters from Mitchell, Neb.
