Lady Broncs tie Scottsbluff for eighth

MITCHELL, Neb. - The Burns Lady Broncs tied the Scottsbluff, Neb. Bearcats for an eighth place finish at the Mitchell, Neb. Track and Field Invite held last Thursday.

Burns scored 21 team points.

Several Lady Broncs finished near the top in their respective events.

Piper Perez earned fifth-place in the 400-meter run with her time of 1:06.50.

Layne Burnett arguably had the strongest performance of the Lady Broncs last week.

Burnette finished the 1600-meter run at an even 6 minutes.

Hurdler Jaden Gipfert completed the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 52.60. That was good for a sixth-place finish in the event.

The 4X800-meter relay team of Perez, Burnett, Kate Bach and Mackenzie Faircloth brought home a third-place finish. Their time was 10:48.85.

Gipfert was able to finish eigth in the high jump with her jump of 4'06".

Miranda Mosley took home fifth in the pole vault at 8 feet even.

Burns will host a meet this Thursday.
