AG asks judge to rule on Haynes' eligibility to seek governorship

The Wyoming Secretary of State’s Office has asked a state judge to decide whether Republican gubernatorial candidate Taylor Haynes is eligible to seek office amid allegations that he resides out-of-state.
On June 25, the Wyoming Secretary of State’s Office received a complaint alleging that Haynes does not meet the requirements to run for governor, namely that within the past five years he has resided outside of the state.
The allegations initially surfaced as the result of a report in the non-profit news website WyoFile.
