Class of 1958 celebrates 60th graduation with reunion

The class of 1958 from Pine Bluffs High School celebrated their 60th graduation reunion Saturday, August 11 at Poor Richards Cafe in Cheyenne.

From the class of 28 graduates, ten of their remaining 14 students attended the reunion.

Present were Gerri (Haines) Obrecht, Parker, CO; Justine (Johnson) Lovell, Lincoln, NE; Frank Fritz, Pine Bluffs, Brenda Rath, Cheyenne; Gary Keogh and Corinne (Johnson) Keogh, CA; Anita (Carpenter) Thomas, Ft. Collins, CO; Dwight Klinginsmith, North Platte, NE; Chuck Bayne and Mina Bayne, Laramie, WY; Betty (Constable) Stroup and Ned Stroup, Gillette and Pine Bluffs, WY; and Jean Skelley, Cheyenne.

Guests were Delbert and Helen Martinez of CO; Susan and Emma Obrecht, daughter and granddaughter of Gerri Obrecht, Parker, CO.

Those not able to attend were: Loren and wife Linda Eisenhauer of Texas and Alex and wife Max Soto of Arizona, who visited by phone;  Raymond Kinnison and wife Linda; and Gene Lanning and wife Carol of Pine Bluffs.

Also missing from the reunion was class sponsor Bill and Doris Parsons of Pine Bluffs, who they enjoyed visiting with at the 55th reunion in 2013.

Sunday morning several of the 1958 graduating class (8) met at the 307 Cafe in Pine Bluffs.  They enjoyed visiting with relatives and friends and the after-church group.

"We all stay in touch and will get together in a couple of years." said classmate Betty Stroup.
