Lady Hornets fall in semi-finals, bounce back to take third at state hoops

After suffering a disappointing loss to Wyoming Indian in the semi-final round of the Wyoming state basketball championships in Casper, the Pine Bluffs Lady Hornets bounced back in a big way.
Taking the court Saturday, the Lady Hornets defeated Niobrara County (Lusk) 51-37 to earn third place in 2A Wyoming girls basketball.
After the first quarter, the game figured to be a close affair.
However, after outscoring NCHS 20-9 in the second quarter, the Lady Hornets were finally out in front.
The Lady Hornets held Lusk to 5 points in the third, but they only scored 7 f their own.
