Bowlers from all over the tri-state area competed in two tournaments at the Pine Bowl. The first tournament was the Top Gun Handicap which took place on March 9th and 10th.

The Top Gun Handicap had 62 bowlers competing for the top honors. On the first day, Saturday, bowlers were eliminated until they were down to 12 bowlers.

Sunday, the 10th the top 12 bowlers set a good pace. "There weren't any perfect 300 games bowled in this tourney," said Jim Zitek, owner of Pine Bowl, "there were some real close ones."
