Chess - teaching strategy at Pine Bluffs High School

King rook, bishop, queen, knight and pawn are in a game that will challenge a person. Pine Bluffs High School has a Chess Club. The club was organized years ago. The club members meet during Friday school every week. Mr. Eric Kestner would even open up school on certain Fridays. The competitions are weekly for points.

For the day, points are determined on wins for the day with the number of games. Then the member ranked at the end of the day. The members have running points with the weekly competitions.

Members can challenge anyone higher ranked than themself. All challenges must be accepte...
