Lady Broncs take Tigers 52-37

As the 2022 year begins the Burns Lady Broncs wanted to turn things around. Having lost three games in the Cabelas Winter Shootout they desperately wanted to put something in the win column. Standing in the way were the Alliance Bulldogs. On this night the 3-8 Bulldogs were no match for the 4-7 Lady Broncs as they beat the Bulldogs 52-37. Rylee Jo Ward had the game high 26 points for the Broncs.

The Lady Broncs came out hard against the evenly matched Bulldogs outscoring them in the first quarter 12 to eight. The second quarter proved to be a bit more even as both teams scored in the single digits. However the Broncs were able to out score the Bulldogs six to five. The Broncs went to the locker room at the half leading 18 -12. The Lady Broncs started off the second half tough and never looked back. The Broncs scored 17 points in the third quarter and another 17 points in the fourth. They held the Bulldogs to a total of 24 points in the second half and won the game 52-37.

Outstanding performances by Rylee Jo Ward who had a game high 26 points. Ward is also way above the national average in three categories, Points per game, Assists per game and Steals per game. Daljit Kaur is also above the national in two categories, Rebounds per game and Blocks per game. Kaur is averaging 7.3 rebounds per game while the national average is three. Kaur is also averaging one block shot per game. Ward is averaging 12.8 points per game which is three times the national average. Ward is also averaging 5.8 steals per game. Over four times the national average.

The Lady Broncs next game is Tuesday, January 11th at Bridgeport against the Bulldogs.
