The Wyoming Arts Council put on a film at the Pine Bluffs Historic High School. On April 16th at 1 p.m. through 5 p.m. was a film and a Dutch Hop Dance.
The Wyoming Arts Council has been collecting information for years and traveling to different Dutch Hops in Wyoming, Nebraska, and Kansas. They went visiting families and learned the tradition of the Dutch Hop. In 1767 to the 1800's Catherine the Great, Empress of Russia asked the Germans to move to the Volga River area. The Russians went off to war, while the Germans did the farming. At the end of the week the Germans always had a dance to...
