M.A.D. Saturday on June 25

M.A.D. stands for “Make A Difference” and that is what those who attend Crossroads Community Church hope to do on June 25. This is the second year that Crossroads is sponsoring a community service day to help those in the community who do not have anyone else to help them out with those little projects around the house and yard. Last year they were able to complete projects for seven different people. The projects included painting trim on a garage and a porch, trimming hedges and bushes, washing windows, dusting and a moving project. The applicants were very appreciative, and the volunteers had a ton of fun working together to help others. We had 28 volunteers from age 4 on up.

So, are you in need of some extra help around the yard? Do you have a pile of debris that needs to be picked up and hauled off? Do you have some minor repairs that need to be done? How about some outside painting? Maybe you just need someone to help write a letter or visit with? The service is free, but material/supply costs must be paid by the applicant. Applicants are required to sign a release form.

Perhaps you don’t have a project, but you would like to serve someone else. You are welcome to come join the serve teams. Sack lunches will be provided for the volunteers. We will close out the day with a Burger Bash at the church for the both the volunteers and those that are helped that day.

If you have a project we can help with or if you would like to join our Serve Teams, then contact the church at 307.245.3534 (leave a message). Serve request forms can be filled out online at cccwyo.org. Forms are also located at businesses around town or can be picked up at the church at 418 Pine St. Request forms need to be submitted to the church by June 16.
