Los Guadalupanos Dancers perform at Bushnell Day

The costumes were colorful and the feet were moving with the rhythm of the music. During Bushnell Days the Los Guadalupanos traditional Folkloric Dancers from Gering, Nebraska performed. This was the first time these dancers performed at Bushnell Days.

Mary Ann Shockley is the director of the group. She explained the meaning of the outfits and the dances before there was performed. All the clothes were handmade. The designs are from different regions of Mexico. The dresses have 14 yards of material for the skirt alone. The embroidery on each piece is done by hand. This group was started in...
