The food is in boxes and ready to go at the Burns food pantry open every Wednesday.

It all started about two years ago when Needs Inc. based in Cheyenne called the Shepherd's Closet to see if people needed food. The Shephard's Closet is a place in Burns, Wyoming located at the town hall where donations of household goods and clothes can be obtained by people in need. Everything is free for the people that come in. Don and Mary Achatz were helping at the Shepherd's Closet when the call came in. Achatz was excited and thought that Burns needed the pantry.
