In a battle for growing up, the south lost it's battle to the north in the life of Veteran William "Bill" Barnes.

Barnes was born in February of 1950 in the town of Dillon, South Carolina, to Almenia (Rogers) and Leon Barnes. His childhood would change drastically when the family moved to Brooklyn, New York just prior to him turning two years of age.
