Heat or eat? Food Bank of Wyoming addresses Inflation

With inflation rate at three to four times higher than the 2020 average, Wyomingites are having to make tough choices between heating their homes or feeding their families. Soaring gas and electric utility bills are just another added expense to the already high cost of living in 2023.

Some families in Wyoming are seeing upwards of $175 for gas bills compared to an average of $83 in 2021. This results in the restructuring of household budgets and spending priorities. Families are forced to make impossible choices, such as should they heat their homes or eat?
