Egg-Special art headed to New York from Carpenter Elementary

Carpenter Elementary is sending hope to New York. The kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Robinson and the students were learning about Easter eggs. In the process they discovered that at the Ukrainian Institute of America in New York they were collecting Pysanka. Pysanka or Easter egg is a tradition of egg decoration in Slavic cultures. In the Ukraine they believe that pysanka brings hope, peace, and good luck. The history of the pysanka is about strong beliefs of the different religions and superstitions.
