2023 Memorial Day celebrated with American Legion

The small flags placed at the grave sites were flying in the gentle breeze and flowers were placed on the graves graves. The day was a beautiful day to honor lost ones. Memorial Day (the last Monday in May is a time to remember. It became a holiday in 1868. It is a federal holiday in the United States for honoring and mourning the United States military. It is about the ones who died while serving. Many people visit the cemetery to honor ones that passed plus the memorials of the military. The day was originally called Decoration Day. It started out to honor those that died in the Civil War...
