Colby Smith takes Third at State qualifies for Nationals in July

A few weeks ago I covered the signing of Colby Smith. He is a rodeo star attending Burns High School. He plans on going to Casper State College to continue his education and rodeo career. Smith's dream is to become a professional rodeo cowboy.

Smith competed in the State Finals in high school rodeo held in Rock Springs last week. Smith competes in saddle bronc and team roping. He placed third in the state in saddle bronc riding with a score of 166.5 and is now qualified for the national championship rodeo.
