Above: Team America with girls from all over the United States. After practicing for only an hour, they started the tournament the next day and placed third! The trip was not all about volleyball. The girls did a lot of sightseeing and learned much about the country and it's friendly people.
A local high school girl got the chance to showcase her volleyball talents halfway across the world. Emily Haas was chosen as a team member for America's Team High School Volleyball. Haas was selected from thousands of high school volleyball players across the country to be a part of the team. She traveled to Australia with the team to compete against the Australia and New Zealand teams. Haas said, "It was a real honor to be chosen and get the chance to play in another country."
