All State Band includes two from Burns High School

Burns High School is very proud to have two students that will be attending All State Band. All State Band is a state wide contest for the students who apply and are chosen. It starts as an individual competition but then they are all put together at the end as a band to perform.

Elsie Gilliland is a junior and plays clarinet. She is shy but very competitive and very athletic. Gilliland swims with the East High School swim team because Burns does not have a swim team. Gilliland broke a record in the 100 butterfly this year. Gilliland is first clarinet for the Allstate music band.
